Halloween Project

Halloween Project-

Get all 13 (oooo, spooky number) of my dolls into Costumes before Halloween!

So far I have one:

Pansy as Tinkerbell

The dress was robbed from a Tinkerbell doll.  The dress fit almost perfect.  I sewed a velcro extension in the back and was please when the wings are still centered!

I am in a Blythe Halloween/ Back to School Swap on Ravelry.  I am hoping to get a Halloween costume.  Back to school outfit would be great too.  I am finished with the knitting portions.  I have to sew a bunch of items and I hope to do so soon.

Addiction

I need to go to BA meetings, Blythe Anonymous.

I now am the owner of Takara Mademoiselle Rosebud.  My goodness she is cute!  Luna was lightly customized by one of her previous owners.

I purchased her at "bait" price because the person I bought her from thought the sand matting was poorly done.  It isn't too bad.  I am not sure how to get the back of the plate to match.  Definitely a different grit of sandpaper was used than what I used for Ginger.

I had some nice surprises.  Luna's hair isn't really pink but peachy blonde! Plus, some one else already replaced two sets of eye chips! She has dark grey and apple green.

It always takes me a week or so to find clothing just right for the look of my new doll.  Poor Fleur is still nuddy pants. I will attempt to make some new clothing for my girls soon.

I am not rushing in to a decision about new make up or anything.  For now I like the natural look.

Brainworm Eye Chips

My Brainworm eye chips arrived!  I am placing Cool Cat foils behind them to pop the color.

My first Brainworm eye chips:

Left to Right: Light Grey, Aqua, Honey, Lime

Here is the first set in Fleur:

Fleur is getting the blue eye chips also.  I may be anal, but the shadow color and eye chips do not match.  The blue had a purple undertone and I expected green.  The color was called aqua after all.  I went ahead and used them, but may change in the future.

Overall, I really like the Brainworm eye chips. They seam smaller than Cool Cat's but I think it is an illusion.

I am curious if they will fit in Clone's eye sockets better.  I think I may try soon.

Wondering where the other 2 sets are going?  The lime green definitely belong to George (Friendly Freckles) and the honey were ordered for Ginger (Prima Dolly Ginger).

Fleur's fringe is awful.  I am going to consult with my stylist, aka my mom, with how to change it.

I have some news about Ginger actually.  I sand matted her face! It was nerve racking but successful. I was able to keep the eye shadow.  Hopefully photos coming soon.  It is so hot outside everything is dry and yucky looking.

Need a refresher about Ginger?  Here is the post Meet Ginger.

Here is Meet George, also.

Meet George

Meet George. This is my second the George in my little doll family.  She is a Takara Friendly Freckles.  I got her in a dolly trade (I traded Mod Molly who was the previous George).

George is awaiting her new eye chips.  Apple or Lime green, I can't remember which color I ordered.  I am going to replace the awful orange chips most likely.

Other than that George is going to be all natural!

Here George is in her stock clothing:

In this photo George is wearing a sweater that I knitted months ago.  It fits her coloring and stock shorts, socks and boots so well that it seems I made it just for her!
