New knitting pattern- Swimsuit for Blythe

I've made all kinds of bathing suits for Blythe. I have never written out the pattern though. After releasing the one for Petite Blythe I had a request to write one up for Neos. I took me a lot longer to actually get the pattern out than it did to knit it!

I should work up one for Middie also. The one for Wonderfrogs does not fit Middie. If I remember correctly, the problem is in the shape of Middie's chest versus the frogs. I would also like to design a few other suits maybe eventually.

P.S. The suit fits both Takara Blythe bodies and Licca bodies.

Blythe a Day: June 3rd- 9th

June 3rd: Rainbow- Knit the rainbow. Monroe working on a silk rainbow top.

June 4th: Laundry- Gidget is having one of those days where she has to wash clothes to have something to wear!

Extra: A chihuahua is always nearby.

June 5th: Decisions, decisions- Merrick is debating, healthy orange or sugary cupcake.

June 6th: Seashore- Peach and Pretzel are packed for the seashore. I haven't broken it to them that we are land locked.

June 7th: Don't give up- Nova posing with my grad school official transcript. It was a challenging two years, but I did it.

June 8th: Stars/Moon- Moon showing off her star on her cheek and moon eye chips.

June 9th: Birthday- Lemon says, "It's my birthday and I can wear my dragon suit if I want to."

Nudist Colony??

I admittedly have too many dolls. Blythe dolls to be exact.

What do you do when you have so many girls that you cannot creatively dress them? They all join a nudist colony? Buy new clothes? Make new clothes?

I have gone from one extreme to the other- sew like a mad person to knitting the exact same sweater about a million times. Okay, it was all the same style dress with variations. I have no idea what is driving me to knit the same style sweater over and over, especially since I'm no longer stocking ready made items in my Etsy shop. It's all good except no one has pants or skirts to go with the sweaters and spring might be here soonish.

What is the creative solution here??

A few sets per doll?

I actually trying this right now with one doll. I keep Claudia in my bedroom with Jack. She has several sets of clothes that I put her in periodically. She always wears her Jack cameo, black tights, and witchy boots.

Several dolls that I have always struggled dressing based on their looks. For example, Poe, who just went on a grand adventure (aka she went to a customizer) has always been hard to find a good style for. I always thought this was her bait condition. Nope, I just can't find anything right for her.

Even though I have too many dolls, I am not willing to part with anyone. I want to keep everyone. I have pretty much ran out of room in the cabinet. I guess that means some need to live elsewhere in the house.

Ewok Sweaters

Ewok sweaters:

US 2 needles

Sock yarn

4 stitch markers

Closures (snaps, Velcro, etc.)

Darning needle

Ewoks

In a mix bag of Star Wars Ewoks that was purchased from a flea market I noticed there were 3 varieties. The sweaters are generally the same for all three, but changes may be needed depending on the neck, body or arm length.

Ewok 1 (1985 Lumat)-

CO 16

K1 x P1 rib for 6 rows

Work stitches as they appear on the wrong sides.

Work the 6^th row of rib- Raglan set up K3, pm, K3 pm, K4, pm, K3, pm, K3

Start increases by knitting 1 stitch before maker, KFB, sl m, KFB, repeat to the end. (24 sts)

Purl to end.

Repeat Raglan increases. (32 sts)

Purl to end.

Repeat Raglan increases. (40 sts)

Purl to end.

Knit to first marker. Remove marker and place stitches between the markers on scrap yarn. These are the sleeves. Knit to the next marker and repeat.

Starting on the wrong side St. st. for 3 rows.

K1 x P1 rib for 2 rows.

BO in rib pattern.

Sleeves-

Place stitches back on the needles. Pick up 1 stitch on each side of the ends.

St. st. for 3 rows.

*K2tog, K2* to the last stitch, K1.

K1 x P2 rib pattern.

BO in rib.

Repeat for the second sleeve. Seam up and stitch up any holes under the arm. Weave in ends and sew on closure. To keep the roll neck collar down, I tacked it on the purl rows when weaving in ends.

Ewok 2 (1983 Ewok Medicine Man and 1984 Teebo)-

CO 18

K1 x P1 rib for 4 rows.
Work stitches as they appear on the wrong sides.

Work the 4^th row of rib- Raglan set up K3, pm, K3 pm, K6, pm, K3, pm, K3

Start increases by knitting 1 stitch before maker, KFB, sl m, KFB, repeat to the end. (26 sts)

Purl to end.

Repeat Raglan increases. (34 sts)

Purl to end.

Repeat Raglan increases. (42 sts)

Purl to end.

Knit to first marker. Remove marker and place stitches between the markers on scrap yarn. These are the sleeves. Knit to the next marker and repeat.

Starting on the wrong side St. st. for 4 rows.

K5, KFB, knit to the last 6, KFB, K5.

K1 x P1 rib for 2 rows.

BO in rib pattern.

Wonderfrog Family

My Wonderfrog family has expanded!

I now have:

Klimt- Wanda Wonderfrog (original green)
Gwen- Flora Heimel (pink, my daughter's frog)
Darwin- Stella di Noche
Stella- Von Elm (light blue)
Frost- Snow Frome
and, Chicken Frog- (Yellow Fortune frog that reminds me of wubba chikens)
